Responsibilities

  • Responsible for operation and preventative maintenance of the Indigo Press
  • Creating workflows and managing project deadlines
  • Communicating project updates to the proper
  • Managing the inventory of Indigo parts and supplies
  • Assisting with bindery and finishing operations
  • Other duties and responsibilities within the production facility as needed

  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • HP Indigo certification required
  • Digital print experience preferred
  • Highschool education or equivalent

Job Description

As a Cutter Operator, you will be responsible for Cutting sheets printed both digitally and offset. Reading a job jacket and programming the cutters to cut the job while taking other bindery function into account.

Responsibilities

  • Main responsibilities would involve cutting, however other small bindery would be required
  • Learning and operating machinery as required to perform responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence to all documented processes and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of folder operation and cutter machine operation set-up practices
  • Knowledge of all procedures required to safely operate a guillotine cutting machine and associated finishing equipment
  • Must be able to work under deadlines and pressure to meet goals
  • Good math skills and knowledge of simple computer operations
  • Good listening and communication
  • Must be dependable; have the ability to work overtime with little or no notice
  • Team-oriented and flexible; goal-oriented; capable of multi-tasking
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously through the day
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 50lbs occasionally

Qualifications

  • Printing and bindery industry experience required
  • Preferred experience with a Polar Cutter

Job Description

As a Bindery Associate, you will be responsible for performing bindery functions by either manual or mechanical means ensuring superior quality of multiple printed documents. 

Responsibilities

  • Main responsibilities would involve cutting, folding, binding, gathering, stapling, trimming, UV Coating and other finishing functions.
  • Learning and operating machinery as required to perform responsibilities.
  • Ensure adherence to all documented processes and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge or willingness to learn of all binding processes and equipment.
  • Must be able to work under deadlines and pressure to meet goals.
  • Good listening and communication
  • Must be dependable; have the ability to work overtime with little or no notice.
  • Team-oriented and flexible; goal-oriented; capable of multi-tasking.
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously through the day.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 50lbs occasionally.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a print production shop performing bindery related tasks
  • 6 months experience in a printing environment preferred.
  • While prior experience with responsibilities is preferred, we are also interested in someone who is willing to learn and be receptive to cross training.
