This example was aimed at motivating lapsed patients to maintain regular contact with their doctor.

Lapsed Patient Program

For a community health system in the Northwest, the goal was to encourage "overdue" patients to make an appointment with their doctor to undergo their preventative health screenings.

Lapsed patients who have not been to the doctor in 2+ years received a personalized letter with health screening card, serving as a reminder to see their doctor regularly. This patient outreach targeted 1,489 individuals, which yielded 112 appointments or 7.5% conversation rate. The financial impact was approximately $40,000 in incremental revenue for the medical group and approximately $210,000 in downstream revenue to the hospital. This ongoing program is expected to convert even more lucrative revenue for the hospital downstream.
